Clocky played with the amazing Shawn Byrne on his showcase at the Mercy Lounge last night... and I even got to sit-in on a song. It was a great show... please send good vibes Shawn's way as I think there were "peeeeople" in the audience checking him out... if you know what I mean. **wink**
BirminghamSteve was there shootin' vids... and it looks like he caught most every song.
Below is the vid of us performing "Somethin' Ain't Right"
A Nebraska farm girl makin' her way in Music City. By day: digital marketing expert; By night: singer. songwriter. painter. brownie maker. Always: dreamer & believer.

Paying the baby cougars a visit...
John and I made a special trip to the Nashville Zoo on Saturday to see the baby cougar cubs. They were sooooooo adorable.
We were the first to arrive at their exhibit area and as we walked up to them, they both came running down to the front of the display to greet us... cooing and chirping and purring. We had them to ourselves for a good 20 - 30 minutes before any other zoo patrons arrived on the scene. It was amazing. I wanted to take both of them home.
Here are the pics of our cougar cub zoo adventure.
Right now, Dakota and Montana (the cubs) are on loan and hanging out in the Lynx exhibit area until the Lynx move into their new home... not sure how long the cubs are going to be there, so, don't pass up a chance to see them!

Playing the Bluebird on 7/3
WhooooHOOhoooHOOhoooooo!
We're playing the Bluebird Cafe on Tuesday, 7/3 @ 6 p.m.
It's going to be another quietly rowdy time... and I'm hoping you'll all be able to be a part of the fun!
If you plan to be there, I recommend you either call the Bluebird (615.383.1461) and/or use their new online reservation system to reserve your seat ahead of time.
What are you waiting for?!
Stop surfing around... go put your dibs on a seat or two or three or four or more!
**wink**

Heh... Just outside of Atlanta on Monday night.
Lee Roy and the band played the Forum Civic Center along with The Marshall Tucker Band and Randall Bramlett.

On the road...
...with Clocky and Lee Roy...and the band this weekend through Monday.
We had a blast in Peshawbetown, MI at the Leelanau Casino last night. The show was amazing and the facility was most impressive.
Now we are "on the road"... somewhere in Ohio... to the next gig in Georgia on Monday night.
Here are a few pics from last night's gig.
Happy Father's Day!

Nice shots!
This weekend, Clocky played in NC at a big BBQ fest with Lee Roy and the band. Erik Olsen, professional photographer, was in the crowd and took some spectacular shots of the guys.
There are several shots of Clocky that I ADORE and Charles has some cool ones, too... anyone else have some favorites?
Nice work, Erik!

the bleeping swear jar
OK... my friend George sent this to me last week... and now T just sent it my way, too... so I decided it is time to share it with you.
If the inspirational quote in the post below this one doesn't trip your trigger for a Monday... maybe a funny video clip will do the trick.
It is so funny... but please note, if you are offended by a ton of bleeped swearing, don't watch this clip.
Oh... and... Budweiser... you're welcome.
Heh.

Great Monday quote...
My friend Jennifer has been forwarding me a "quote of the day" lately and I really enjoy them.
Thought today's was especially good for a Monday... so I thought I'd share it with you:
The remarkable thing we have is a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. -- Charles Swindoll
(Thanks JenBro!... I needed that!)
Hope you all have a spectacular day.

geocaching adventures
My friend George in Chattanooga reminded me of a cool thing that I've been meaning to post about: GeoCaching.
It's like an international scavenger hunt. He and his wife participate in Chattanooga AND when they travel. Recently, they went to New Orleans and found some caches... it was a great way to explore the city and have an adventure at the same time. George said he saw things in New Orleans that he probably wouldn't have known to explore had he not been participating in geochache.
It's also a really cool thing to do with your kids.
Below is the scoop from the GeoCaching site...
What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a gps unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache.
Here are more FAQs about how it works.
