It was a Christmas Tree for the Beckwith's in 1976. After the holidays that year, they planted the tree their yard.The 7' Norway spruce grew to 35'. Its circumference reached 70' and consumed their yard.
So, the Beckwith's did the next logical thing.
They gave the tree to the city of Nashville.
It began as a little Christmas Tree.
It will end as a BIG Christmas Tree.
How cool is that?
