Then watch the entire lecture (below).
And, here's a link to his book,"The Last Lecture" if you're so inclined... or go to Randy's website.

Now... let's go knock down those brick walls.
We can do it.

Talking to the future...

Just wanted to share a something cool that happened to me this past week.

I was contacted to do a session via my myspace by Jimmy Scott (among other songs, he co-wrote "Love Sneakin' Up on You" - Bonnie Raitt). He found me on myspace!!! How cool is that?! And, he asked me to sing on a new song he's demo-ing... because he liked my voice. It just blew me away... I'm still kinda stunned and honored that he found me.

Anyway... trying to keep it short... I emailed him back. Then he called me... from THAILAND! He's a British writer who used to live in Nashville. Now he's in Thailand / Asia, at least for now.

So, my friend Charles and I used tracks he Jimmy sent via the internet to do the session. And, we used Skype to include Jimmy on the session. It was so cool. We really had fun... and it made me realize just how amazing the Internet really is.

Not only was Jimmy able to be with us via Skype, but we were literally talking to the future when he was on the line. There is a 12 hour time difference between Nasvhille and Thailand... which means while we were talking with him at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, he was talking to us at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Isn't the whole thing just cool?!

We were talking to the future...
We were talking to tomorrow.
(don't even think about it... I'm already writing it. *wink*)

Anyway... just wanted to share.
I love Nashville.
I love the Internet.
The world is so small... in a very good way.

Tanky LOVES the dog park.

Took this pic two weeks ago at the dog park. We've been there three
times now... The one over by Centennial Park. He runs around like
crazy and plays pretty well with other dogs. Doesn't he look happy?!
Daddy Clock is on the road saturday... Tanks and I may have to go hang
out!
