Get yourself a living will...

According to MSNBC, Terri Schiavo has died. God rest her soul and let the healing of her loved ones begin. May she, her husband, her family and friends finally be at peace.

Here is the lesson that came to me out of all of this:
I believe this case ended up in the forefront to help us see how important it is to have your wishes in writing.

What should you do now?
Don't put your loved ones in the kind of position we've all witnessed over the past two weeks. For yourself, your spouse (partner, friend, future spouse, whomever...) get yourself a living will. Don't wait. You can get information about them from your doctor, local hospitals, the internet. There are tons of places on the web to create one relatively cheap.

Life is terminal. Something tragic could happen to you today, tomorrow, next week... Stop pretending these things happen to other people. Protect your family and loved ones. Take the responsibility off of them. Let them know what you want them to do if, God forbid, the unexpected happens to you.

That is all I have to say about this.
End of rant.

Now, if you haven't already done so...
go get a living will.

Good work woman! JTC and I are in the process of doing ours because of this whole thing. Hopefully nothing bad will happen before they're complete!
